My general experience covers design team responsibility for major infrastructure, environmental and building projects in both the UK and overseas. Whilst providing my own specialist knowledge in geotechnical engineering, I aim to understand and add value to the interface between disciplines in civil engineering projects.

I have carried out many projects across the UK having been based in both England and Scotland, a number of which have won regional and national awards. I have also been based permanently overseas in both Hong Kong and Singapore. Additionally I have designed projects in South Korea, the Philippines, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Russia.

I bring significant learning to my projects gained from my appointment as geotechnical expert on many Expert Witness commissions, including those using alternative dispute resolution techniques. These commissions commonly combine both my specialist geotechnical engineering and engineering geology experience and my experience as a hands-on design leader of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
